Your Divorce Help Starts Here

070617000202.jpg Hi. I'm Debbie Nicodem Carsten, the person behind the divorce help at this site. I know first hand the difficult road of divorce lawyers, single parenting, financial upheaval, identity crisis and career building. Whether you're here before, during or after your divorce, you'll find all sorts of help to build your new life.

I know divorce can feel overwhelming, lonely, and frightening. But I also know that God can make this holy ground, the path to a new life--one that you'll really love. You may make new friends, find a career you love, dream a new dream, and be transformed in ways you never thought possible.

The divorce help on this site is dedicated to your encouragement. You don't have to travel this road alone. Help is available. The connections you make to services and other women at this website can keep you from getting stuck and propel you in your new direction. A new life awaits you, so journey on, friend. My desire is for you to experience God's C.A.R.E. along the way:

C ourage to move into your future,
A uthentic solutions from someone who's been there,
R ealistic steps you can take,
E ncouragement from God's word.

This detour may be the shortest path to becoming all you're meant to be.

detouredcrossway.jpg As a believer, divorce can be as much a spiritual crisis as anything. I often wondered:
Is there a godly way to get through this?
How do I find God in this?
Am I now some kind of second-class Christian?

Detoured By Divorce: Finding God's Way Through and Beyond is designed to provide divorce help from God's Word. You can emerge from the trials of divorce as a different person: one who finds the road much broader, yourself more confident, and God more faithful than you ever dared to hope. So check out the Detoured By Divorce page. You don't have to feel alienated or defeated by divorce. God's love for you is unconditional and following it will lead you to victory. Legal Advice

The only thing worse than going through divorce, is going through it with an unsuitable divorce lawyer. I've known too many smart, educated women who couldn't come up with another retainer fee to pursue a better fit for their case. Instead they were stuck with the added aggravation of the wrong attorney. You owe it to yourself to choose carefully. Whether you're shopping for the first time or wondering if you should leave the lawyer you have, Ron makes the process easier. Read his advice, "Finding the Lawyer That's Right for You" by clicking on the Nav Bar: Legal Advice.

O.K. I'll admit it: before my life took the divorce detour, I had some pretty opinionated ideas about Christians who divorced. (Like, why hadn't they just tried harder to make their marriage work?) Then the tables turned, and I was on the receiving end of those ideas. My, how life can change! I had a lot to learn about how divorced Christians deserve to be treated and I've compiled it in this list: 10 Things I Wish Christians Knew About a Divorced Woman . . .I think you'll agree--it's something many Christians need to hear.

It's a FREEBE so download enough copies to provide insightful divorce help for all your friends! (Just don't nail them to any church front doors!)Maybe someday we'll all be able to say as Peter did, "But God has shown me that I should not call any person impure or unclean." (Acts 10:28b)
