Mission Statement

Writing a mission statement helps you stay focused on what's really important to you. It helps you easily evaluate whether a new opportunity is a good fit or not, without having to rethink your values all over again. Like an objective outsider, when my passions or fears tempt to sway me, my mission statement keeps me on course.

Mine is much more about my WHO than my DO. I wanted it to reflect who I am, regardless of my career or marital status, or anything else that may change. By focusing on WHO I am, rather than what I DO, it doesn't have to be recreated every few years

I encourage you to write your own. You won't believe the feeling of empowerment you get from knowing what you're about.

My life’s purpose is to know God, love him and walk with Him in ways that attract others to do the same. I desire to be His living word, bringing grace and truth to the world and glory to my most intimate, worthy friend, my Lord. To do this I will nurture my own spiritual growth with time in prayer, worship, reading and fellowship and I will look for ways to respond wisely to the opportunities God provides.

I will seek to live true to my deepest Christ self in all my endeavors without letting others’ expectations, my own fears, or my desire for control choose for me. I will take responsibility for maintaining a healthy lifestyle that balances work, relationships, rest, fitness and service. I will also make room in my life for beauty, laughter, and romance because they add the needed spice.

I will seek ways to fulfill the dreams God has given me, believing they are also the desires of his heart, specifically, to empower women to live purposeful lives and to unify believers of all denominations. I will keep as first priority my love for God, not my service for Him.

I will seek to earn the money I need to live a happy, purposeful life and to teach my children to do the same, realizing all our resources are gifts and that we are only the managers. I will respond to God’s prompting to care for those less fortunate, and cultivate a spirit of generosity. I will seek a career that allows me to live as my best self, use my talents, value my integrity, and invest in people because I enjoy helping others achieve their goals while not compromising my own.

My home will be a safe refuge from the storms of life, promoting unity and healing in a welcoming atmosphere.

I will remember that my deepest joy is always available through my relationship with God, regardless of my life’s events or circumstances and that the results of all my efforts are in His hands.
